In a related story, the state of Kentucky has a standing warrant for Joss Whedon.
"My story is based on fiction," said Poole, who faces a second-degree felony terrorist threatening charge. "It's a fake story. I made it up. I've been working on one of my short stories, (and) the short story they found was about zombies. Yes, it did say a high school. It was about a high school over ran by zombies."Police have recovered an entire case of reanimation compound cleverly disguised as Cyalume-brand chemical light sticks in Poole's garage. "These kids pretend that they're just innocent light sources, but anyone familiar with the Herbert West case can figure out that these 'raves' are really unholy rituals to animate the dead. Nobody would write about this kind of thing unless they actually planned to make it happen."
Even so, police say the nature of the story makes it a felony. "Anytime you make any threat or possess matter involving a school or function it's a felony in the state of Kentucky," said Winchester Police detective Steven Caudill.

Happy hatchingday, by the way :D

Date: 2005-02-28 08:01 pm (UTC)I'm really happy the system is protecting us from things like, y'know, zombies and monsters. It'd be a crying shame if the adminastration of that young man's school spent that kind of effort going after kids who were doing something that was actully wrong.
