In about half an hour -- 1630 UT (that's "Greenwich Mean Time"), or about 9:30 AM Pacific Daylight Time -- the sun crosses the Celestial Equator, marking the moment of Equinox -- the first day of Autumn up here in the North, and the first day of Spring for the Blokes Down Under.

It's also the start of Aurora Season up in the Northern Hemisphere. Stay tuned to www.spaceweather.com for Aurora news.

Aurora season is always a riot. ^^ Up here in the great white north, we get them just about every night once it starts getting cold. And they're always lime-green.

Now all we need are some more X-class flares and a bowl of popcorn. Dunno though. Around here we never seem to get aurora. Hell, they can be seeing red in the sky as far south as Oklahoma, but never HERE. *mutter*
