In about half an hour -- 1630 UT (that's "Greenwich Mean Time"), or about 9:30 AM Pacific Daylight Time -- the sun crosses the Celestial Equator, marking the moment of Equinox -- the first day of Autumn up here in the North, and the first day of Spring for the Blokes Down Under.

It's also the start of Aurora Season up in the Northern Hemisphere. Stay tuned to www.spaceweather.com for Aurora news.
