Arnold called Republican critics "economic girlie-men."

He's right, you know.

They don't have the Manly Republican attitude toward economics: Punch them and take their lunch money, then make them sound like crybabies if they complain.

Yup. The attitude of rich corporates almost down to a one, expressed in the proper elementary-schoolyard terms.

Though they don't always get away with it. The hotels charging $200 a night (normal price: $40) during Hurricane Charlie are being sued by the state of Florida under the anti-price-gouging law. For once -- and ONLY once -- I'm rooting for Jeb's people to take them to the cleaners.

Heh, Arnie is such a Republican sell-out now. ^^ And VERY nice choice o' icon there. Huzzah for 1984!

A sellout? He is, and always was, a Republican. It's not like he's a Democrat who is supporting Bush for some unknown reason. He's a Republican because it's what he believes in. Isn't that enough?

Hell, I could call Kerry and his wife Democratic sell-outs, since they obviously have even more money than Bush, yet are pretending they're all buddy-buddy with those who have nothing at all. I mean, let's face it: The rich do not associate with the poor unless it's to get something from them (and visa versa, I might add). In this case, it's votes.

But we all have our opinions. What you said is yours and what I said is mine. And it's also my opinion that you don't make much sense. But I can't expect to understand everyone, so oh well.

Ahh, I didn't know he was a republican ahead of time. ^^ I don't pay attention to US politics that much.

I think you need to keep in mind that the Democratic Party is no way any better than the Republican Party when it comes to money, taxes, etc. You can hold an opinion on it, depending on where you want to see the money go, but guess what? It's all about money and power in the end, and both are just as guilty as the other.

Sure, the Republicans might beat you up for your money, but the Democrats like to steal it from your very pockets while you aren't looking. I don't need some Robin Hood taking my money and giving it to some "less fortunate" individual who isn't doing anything to make our nation a better place.

My own views are that while the Republicans might be "cowboys," at least I know where they stand. I know where they want the country to go. The Democrats seem to have no idea where they're going. Instead, they just throw out what they think are speeches for "a more fair America," trying to grab the votes of all the lower-class citizens. But will supporting them ever make the country a better place? I personally find that very hard to believe.
