Old Friends

Somewhere in storage, I have my old childhood teddy bear.  I got him when I was eight or so; I don't know why I still have him when older and more-beloved stuffed animals are long gone.

 

He lost an eye somewhere along the line, and, in my late teens, I fashioned a turtleneck sweater out of an old sock, gave him an eyepatch, and dubbed him "Nick Furry, Agent of B.E.A.R."

 

Thirty years later, far more people will GET that joke.

 

He also looks rather more like Samuel L. Jackson than David Hasselhoff ...
