Holy SHIT!

That was a big effing quake that just hit. More later.

Edit:

Either a 4.4 or a 4.1. Not huge, but I'm pretty close to the epicenter.

It wasn't that big. Only 4.4, centered somewhere between Morgan Hill and South San Jose. It was shallow though.

Yeah. I was pretty close to the epicenter, it seems -- though [livejournal.com profile] gatewalker felt it all the way over in Pacifica.

4.4 actually is pretty big, at least big enough to take note. 3.xs get your attention.

I didn't feel it up here, though I was napping.

I like this one: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/dyfi/events/nc/71506890/us/index.html

It's an aftershock of magnitude 0.0 (at least listed as such as of 5pm)

Well that's definitely rumbly enough to get your attention. I think the last quake I was in was around a 4.2 or so, and it definitely woke me up with a start. Its not fun to suddenly find the ground to be not so solid and stationary anymore.
