Any chance you saw Rand Paul on Maddow last night? He tried real hard to not say exactly that. Tenish minutes of Maddow asking him if he believed private business owners had the right to bar black patrons and him not saying he thought they should.

I'm just struck by the similarity, is all. Paul was actually less articulate, but then as a Senate candidate I'd expect him to be (less articulate).

Rights and freedoms have nothing to do with irresponsibility. If you have the right or freedom to take a certain action, that action will have consequences. Written rights and freedoms will not make the well known aspect of 'cause and effect' in our reality go away.

When a bunch of people narrow their focus to pick on a specific group, and then that group reacts harshly, I'll be pissed if anyone has the nerve to act surprised...
