Silly Gender Quiz
Mar. 27th, 2004 10:26 am...odd that an algorithmic quiz can get that right just based on the name, when I've had people online assume that "Athelind" was a female name (despite my continual use of the masculine pronouns).
Kinda makes you rethink Turing Tests, doesn't it?

Date: 2004-03-27 03:45 pm (UTC)Amusingly, according to Wikipedia, Turing based his test on "...a party game where guests try to guess the gender of a person in another room by writing a series of questions and reading the answers sent back." I didn't know that when I mentioned it in this context.
Even more amusingly, in this case, the MACHINE is the one administering the "Test" to the HUMANS....
