Dean stops campaigning....
Feb. 18th, 2004 10:58 am...but doesn't drop out of the race.
When the California primary rolls around, my vote's still on Dean. Ted Rall sums it up more eloquently than I can.
I'd rather vote for someone than against The Other Guy -- though needless to say, no matter who gets the nomination, I'm voting against Bush in November.
(Thanks to
richardf8 for the Rall link.)

Date: 2004-02-18 12:57 pm (UTC)Some of Will's questions are garbage-throwaways, of course, but a lot of them are questions the I know Kerry can't answer to my satisfaction. He is another weasel of political convenience, like Clinton. He'll get my vote, but only because W's got to go. Dean, if his name's on the ballot in the primary, gets my vote there.

Date: 2004-02-18 04:20 pm (UTC)One of these days I should join one or the other, but it's just, do I join the party I want to join? Or do I join the party that 'has a chance of winning' well.. I lean towards the first, because it's just the attitude of the second that has made this country a two party system.. just a pity I don't have greater say in the person who could theoretically (however unlikely) be our next president. So, which is it, Idealism or pragmatism?
Hmm, you know now that I write it out like that, I guess I should just go with the first.
