Dean stops campaigning....

...but doesn't drop out of the race.

When the California primary rolls around, my vote's still on Dean. Ted Rall sums it up more eloquently than I can.

I'd rather vote for someone than against The Other Guy -- though needless to say, no matter who gets the nomination, I'm voting against Bush in November.

I still havena decided who I would vote for but I believe it's a good idea that Dean stays in the race. His dropping out could hurt the turnout in my opinion.

I'm not a fan of Kerry, as there's something inherently untrustworthy about another New England based filthy rich "democrat". Though, I've not seen anything compelling that makes me dislike him either.

My man, Clark, already ditched out. Must agree, #1 priority is getting Dubya out of the White House...

Look at the bright side -- Clark's a pretty good bet for the Veep role.

And if things go well, that might roll into two terms in the top spot for him. So you may just manage sixteen years of "your man".

Well, is a filthy rich democrat from New England any better or worse than the filthy rich republican from New England we have in office? No matter how hard W. stylizes himself a Texan, the Bush family's still from Connecticut.

Not that I think New Englanders are bad, since I'm one of them....

I think we'll be seeing a Kerry/Edwards ticket. I also think that the DNC has basically handed the Bushies the very candidate they want. He's easy to attack. Just look what an easy target he is for George Will.

Some of Will's questions are garbage-throwaways, of course, but a lot of them are questions the I know Kerry can't answer to my satisfaction. He is another weasel of political convenience, like Clinton. He'll get my vote, but only because W's got to go. Dean, if his name's on the ballot in the primary, gets my vote there.

I was thinking just the same, then I remembered that I'm not affiliated with a party ;)

One of these days I should join one or the other, but it's just, do I join the party I want to join? Or do I join the party that 'has a chance of winning' well.. I lean towards the first, because it's just the attitude of the second that has made this country a two party system.. just a pity I don't have greater say in the person who could theoretically (however unlikely) be our next president. So, which is it, Idealism or pragmatism?

Hmm, you know now that I write it out like that, I guess I should just go with the first.
