Back in the '80s, they'd removed the Torch from the Statue of Liberty for refurbishing and cleaning, and sent it "on tour" around the country. I believe it appeared in the Rose Parade that year.
I seriously wanted to run a CHAMPIONS scenario around that, but never got the chance.
