athelindTake a look at Silverwing, a magnificent-looking Canadian animated series about bats. The trailer looks superb. The characters are easily the best anthropomorphic bats I've ever seen -- despite the details that humanize them, they still look and feel like bats.
I'm definitely going to draw heavily from this visual style when I try to draw Lord Nikulai.
Unfortunately, there's no indication whatsoever of when or if this show will arrive in the Untidy States. Alas, with only 13 episodes, it may not reach the Magic Number for syndication.
I'll just have to scare up the novels. According to the site, the third one in the series bumped Harry Potter off the Youth Fiction Bestsellers List in Canada.
And they're about bats!
