athelindremember a couple of weeks ago, when I complained about having "Unfluenza"? Well, of course I couldn't get through this flu season with just faint echoes of symptoms -- on Sunday, I got that annoying little scratching behind my left nostril that signaled that the Immune Perimeter Had Been Breached.
I've had a nasty cold since. I won't go into the colorful details. I'm guzzling plenty of fluids, getting plenty of rest, and getting enough vitamins. I'm also eating regularly -- you know, "feed a cold" and all that. I find I get woozy and feel substantially worse if I don't keep fed.
Oddly, while I can normally tell the difference between a viral and a bacterial infection just by feel, I haven't gotten that immediate "Go Get Antibiotics" instinct this time. All the auxiliary symptons, however, indicate that it's probably bacterial, so, with my history of bronchitis, I've got an appointment with the doctor tomorrow. Hopefully we can nip this in the bud before it turns into full-fledged bronchial pneumonia.
You know, I thought that leaving damp, soggy Monterey Bay would end my annual bouts of bronchitis.
