At the moment, my Dream Car is the Aptera:

Every time I post a link to the Aptera, though, I get a lot of people whining about how impractical it would be in the snow, and that sort of thing. So, if money is truly no object, it would be sharing my garage with this cinematic classic ...



Yes, it still exists, it's been restored, and it's out there.

And if you make fun of my Aptera, I will take my Landmaster, run over your silly little SUV, and drive through your HOUSE.

As someone who's lived in Maine, the whole "what about heavy snow" is mostly irrelevant if you live in town and have a snow removal service (which everyone in town does in fact have). It's preposterous if you live in town in Maine to believe that a commuter car wouldn't have sufficient clearance or power or whatever. If you live out of town and have a hundred yard long driveway up a hill? Well, maybe you do need a truck onto which you put your snow plow. However, for the vast majority of people even in very snowy places, a commuter car would be fine.

Landmaster! I used to admire that rusty beast from the 101 freeway back in the day. I was disappointed to find Dean Jeffries had moved or closed up his shop last time I was in L.A.

Nice to know the vehicle is still out there somewhere. Anchor Bay has been dragging it's feet on getting the damn movie out on DVD.

Ah the little sperm car as my friends call it. I was considering putting in a deposit in for one at one time. Unfortunately, the past couple months are showing that the company's survival may be questionable. :/

Now that right there is a damn fine looking electric vehicle. I only hope we see more and more come onto the market over the years. And hopefully at affordable prices too!

And yes, one has to love the Landmaster. :D I always thought it cool that they made a real and functional vehicle for that movie.
