It doesn't matter if you call it Armistice Day, Remembrance Day, or Veteran's Day.

It doesn't matter what you think of the current war, or war in general.

What matters is that every day, there are those who put their lives on the line for others, on the battlefield or on the streets, in raging fires or in the face of raging storms, or striving to reach beyond the sky.

Some of them don't come back. Some of them do.

Honor them all. They've honored you.

Amen.

And thank you, not for the message, but for serving.

They've saved the lives of my countrymen from our enemy. So I honor them.

But why isn't there a day for people who save the lives of countrymen from eachother? I mean making it illegal for the government to oppress us is a monumental task, but at least those who started the process and helped it keep going should be remembered.

The writers of the Magna Carta, the founders of the Constitution, the Abolitionists who helped give moral grounding for the new, third party that was to sweep the nation, were not warriors, but I consider them just as big of heroes nonetheless.
