I thought long and hard about appropriate posts for Independence Day: links to articles about the current assaults on our freedoms, rants about the same, discussion of how Patriotism is not the same as blind obedience...

...but finally, I decided just to put a link to Cool Ways To Blow Shit Up.

I may rant later. Until then -- where's the KABOOM?

Your name should also have been included, I'm sorry it wasn't - basically the SFBC published a book of 5 dragon stories and the editor e-mailed me asking if it was ok if he mentioned the site - got my (free) copy Monday, here's what he said:

urbandragons.com is a whimsical and funny website comic strip by C.S. McDonald and Sandy Turner. Its comedic dragons remind me a little of Walt Kelly's Pogo, as well as Burr Tillstrom's Oliver J. Dragon, of the late lamented TV show, Kukla, Fran and Ollie. The Urban Dragons website features a large bestiary of variant dragon species, including the Baseball Dragon, the Barbeque Dragon, the Jazz Dragon, the Literary Dragon and the Yuppie Dragon. The comic strip itself began on September 22, 1993, and is still running onlijne. Don't miss it, especially if you want to know where your missing socks go - and what dragons do with them!

As I said, I wish your name had been included.
