What a time to roll a 00.
Aug. 3rd, 2007 10:25 amAs a general rule, I'm the one who puts up the leftovers in our house. If I don't do it, ninety-nine times out of a hundred, it won't get done.
It doesn't matter how delicious the meal is, how much everyone loved it, how much everyone is looking forward to leftovers the next day; if I don't remember to pack it all in those handy little Glad/ZipLoc tubs myself, I'll get up the next morning to find last night's meal moldering in the pots and pans.
Last night, we ordered pizza from a new place. It was not a hit: it was too greasy, too salty, and over all, just kinda nasty. Everyone agreed; nobody expressed any approval whatsoever.
As I was heading to bed, I noticed that the pizza was still out on the table, and decided -- screw it. I don't WANT that stuff in my body again. I'm just gonna leave it out, and in the morning, I'll dump it because it was, in fact, left out all night.
This morning, I got up, got a glass of juice, and found a neat, tidy stack of ZipLoc bags full of pizza in the fridge.
My family can't even SLACK dependably.

Date: 2007-08-05 11:04 am (UTC)Whenever we have takeaway pizza delivered IF there are any leftovers they stay in the cardboard box until morning.
Pizza's no good if you can't stand it cold for breakfast on the North Circular Road.
Incidentally: Asparagus & Cheddar on a pizza base = food of the gods.

Date: 2007-08-05 09:56 pm (UTC)We usually order enough for a couple of days of leftovers, and the cardboard boxen don't keep it from getting stale and hard.

Which gods? The Cthulhu Mythos?
