[livejournal.com profile] araquan hit the nail on the head: it was condensation from the car's A/C. I called the mechanic this morning and mentioned that, and he said, "yeah, that's just what we found. A hose had popped loose."

They repaired it so quickly that it all fell within that first hour diagnostic fee -- so it was only $123. But something was actually wrong and got fixed, so it was neither wasted time nor wasted money. Yay!

I'm actually not sure if my little attempt to drive Over The Hedge was responsible or not.

Glad it wasn't anything more severe than that. Funny though... When it happened with my Lumina, I got a lake on the floormats but once. Never did actually fix it. Considering that I spent the bulk of that summer in Florida, I know it ran into some pretty severe humidity in the months that followed. In my case perhaps it was just a temporary blockage that got cleared sometime after The Flood.
