For the record ... .
Jan. 1st, 2011 12:22 am... I did not flip off 2010 as it departed.
Instead, I raised a beer and invoked my father's favorite toast: "Better Days."
Of course, it says a great deal about our respective personalities that when he gives that toast, he's thinking of the past, and when I give it, I'm thinking of the future.
It also says a great deal about the toast.
