Can anyone give some help or suggestions on setting up a Wiki, using either MediaWiki or some other software?

I've played around with Peanut Butter Wiki, but I'd rather have something running from my own domain. I'm also not pleased by the OldSchoolWiki MarkUpLanguage where you make links to other WikiEntries by InterCapping Words.

I have no experience with PHP or MySQL.

I'm interested in this, as well. Though I'm not doing a very good job of writing the material that would go into it, anyway, if I had a wiki to build I might spend more time building it.

I HAVE found that pbwiki makes a terrific scratch pad, especially for someone like me, whose plotlines and notes would be on a scattered stack of 3x5 cards if they were hardcopy.

I'm using the pbwiki I've created; I just want a more secure, long-term solution.

Do you like using it? My thought is to try and get all my Middle Kingdoms stuff sorted out. I got the idea from [livejournal.com profile] howardtayler, but I've noticed that some of my other webtoonist friends and aquaintances are beginning to consider them, as well.

Wait, you say you like it. Never mind that part of my previous post, then.
