"She's your sister? So what, Luke? That wouldn't have stopped the Children of the Lens!"

Good thing they're not the Children of the Lens, isn't it? I don't think Jedi qualify as genetically perfect (in which case, there isn't any reason they couldn't interbreed...or breed with themselves, for that matter)

Do NOT start me on Luke/Leia. Mister "I had this all plotted out" Lucas TOTALLY intended for her and Luke and Han to form a love triangle; that sister crap was last minute fanservice.

And you know, I read 'Children' and saw how it was addressed to a Level Three intellect and said, 'wow, was this letter misdelivered, or what?' :)

Making for some REALLY uncomfortable, embarassing moments when one re-reads Splinter of the Mind's Eye.

And you know what? Leia being Luke's sister didn't really have that big an impact on the story, other than getting Luke out of the way of the triangle and giving Vader and Palpatine a convenient button to push.
