According to Kaja Foglio's Diary, Airship Books is suspending publication of the classic Gaslamp Fantasy, Girl Genius.

Because the story will continue on the web, as .
The idea is that the dead-tree quarterly book is really just a way of drumming up interest in the trade paperback collections (a point I've made repeatedly about mainstream superhero monthlies) -- and that a web comic can do that much more effectively.
For me, the idea of getting my Agatha Heterodyne fix three times a week instead of once every few months just makes me giddy.
