athelindFriends, I appreciate your concern, but just because I take a while to answer pages and ICQ messages and have a preference for periods instead of exclamation points does not mean that I'm depressed. I use my computer for a lot of things, and sometimes, gasp, I'm not even sitting at the keyboard continuously.
Brief, irregular replies don't mean I'm down in the dumps or something's wrong -- quite to the contrary, more often than not, they mean that I'm actually distracted and engaged by something aside from the chat services.
And by and large, that's a good thing.
