I first read this years ago, and I've been trying to find it ever since. I could not for the life of me remember where I found it. I should have recognized the style, though -- it's by Lore Sjöberg of the Brunching Shuttlecocks.

This is the only explanation of the Star Wars movies that makes any sense whatsoever.

The fact is that, throughout the three films, everyone Luke meets is completely bullshitting him about the Force. They make up all this crap about Dark and Light and Good and Evil to disguise that there's only one rule to the Force: die in front of Luke.

Having seen the prequels, one also has to wonder if maybe the rebels were the bad guys (http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/001/248ipzbt.asp).

Hilarious! And quite accurate. Using the Force to destroy a station with probably a few hundred thousand personnel is OK, but offing Palpatine isn't? C'mon!

That is definitely the best explanation of the Star Wars movies I have ever read. And as a bonus, it's hilarious!

Yes, but haven't you ever wondered why Obi-Wan was going to Alderaan in the first place?

.....

He was heading there to stand on the highest mountain peak and parry the death-star bolt with his light saber. ;)

Now... if Mace Windu were still around, maybe HE could've. ;)
