athelind(I know everyone else did this weeks ago, but if I had any sense of deadlines, I'd have gotten my degree twenty years ago instead of three!)
A - Accent: Californian, with a little Texas that sneaks in now and then. I pick up accents when I'm surrounded by them.
B - Breakfast Item: Soy Milk on cereal
C - Chore you hate: Dishes
D - Dad's Name: Same as mine, but "Junior" instead of "The Third".
E - Essential everyday item: Eyeglasses
F - Flavour ice cream: Dulce du leche
G - Gold or Silver?: Gold doesn't tarnish, and is a much comfier bedding.
H - Hometown: Monterey Bay. I didn't grow up there, but I keep coming back there.
I - Insomnia: Occasionally. If melatonin doesn't do the trick, Benedryl usually will.
J - Job Title: "Historical Bathymetric Change Analyst".
K - Kids: Two stepdaughters, two stepgrandsons.
L - Living arrangements: The Whole Fam Damily Under One Roof.
M - Mom's birthplace: Pennsylvania?
N - Number of significant others: Two. Married the second one.
O - Overnight hospital stays: One, for wisdom teeth -- it was only overnight because I was stationed on a Coast Guard cutter at the time, and they don't make people navigate steep ladders and metal decks when they're still woozy from anesthetics.
P - Phobias: Heights bother me.
Q - Queer?: Nope.
R - Religious Affiliation: Independent.
S - Siblings: Two sisters, both older.
T - Time you wake up: I consider 7 AM to be "sleeping in".
U - Unnatural hair colours you've worn: None.
V - Vegetable you refuse to eat: Mayonnaise.
X - X-rays you’ve had: Too many to recount. Chest x-rays, sinus x-rays, dental x-rays, a series of x-rays when I broke my left elbow in '01, and an MRI of my shoulder when I had rotator cuff problems.
Y - Yummy: The "Jersey Cheesesteak" -- like a Philly, but with pastrami instead of beef.
Z - Zodiac sign: Pisces, in the Year of the Wood Dragon.
