Everybody's Tolkien At Me....
Date: 2003-12-12 03:04 pm (UTC)I first saw Metropolis dead silent on a 9 reel standard 8mm version I got for a tenner back in the late 70's....likewise The General (Super 8 secondhand). They are better for a music track, and I must say the latest "restored" version of Metropolis is fantastic...fills in the plot holes of my old version.
I would add "Steamboat Bill Jr." to that listing too...it has one of Keaton's best sight gags ever in the collapsing barn frontage...
