My Plans for Today.

quelonzia undergoes cataract surgery, replacing the clouded lens of one eye with an artificial implant. The other will be done some time in December.
On the other side of the country, today, my oldest sister is having breast cancer surgery.
If things go well, this should result in marked improvements for each of them. I could handle either situation individually with equanimity; knowing that both surgeries are happening roughly simultaneously is a bit much to wrap my head around.
So... I'm a little stressed and distracted right now, and the last thing on my mind are my plans for the holiday season.
