Charlotte Weaver (a.k.a. [livejournal.com profile] silkspider) noted in her last entry that Julia Roberts was going to voice her namesake in the upcoming live action/CGI remake of Charlotte's Web. Strangely, I can see -- or hear -- Ms. Roberts providing the voice of FurryMUCK's Charlotte even more than I can the literary Charlotte.

Which brings to mind Ms. Weaver's favorite question from her days of playing "Truth or Dare" on the MUCK:

When they make FurryMUCK: The Motion Picture, who should provide the voice for your character?

I dithered about this one for many years, but his recent selection to play Doctor Henry Philip McCoy in the upcoming feature film has finally won Kelsey Grammer the honor of voicing Your Obedient Serpent.

(For those of you who don't frequent FurryMUCK, please substitute your alter-ego's preferred habitat.)

Kurt Russell, 'specially when he's doin' his John Wayne riff as Jack Burton in Big Trouble In Little China.

I can't say I have a 'voice actress' exactly.

Just imagine my voice as deep and throaty with the hints of a Scottish accent. Something powerful but feminine, really.

I'm pleased to report that Rupert Everett has signed on to play Dusty Rancourt. While he's going to have to reduce his rather genuine accent to a 'I affect a hint of this because it makes me sound more mysterious,' his command of the almost-smile-in-his-voice-tone was too perfect to pass up for casting.

Ehee.. I'd have to say that Cynthia Martinez (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0993426/) does a wonderfully sugar-laden little girl voice. She's an anime VA, so she's a little obscure.. but generally it's an upbeat, somewhat hoarse tone. I like it a lot.

If there were someone who had a voice like Orson Wells, today; but with a softer, quieter edge to it, that would be me.

Hmm... Let's see.

I could almost say Jirris has *two* slightly difference voice actors. When he's looking/acting all bad-ass, he'd sound pretty masculine. When he's around girls/trips over something/generally makes an idiot out of himself, he'd have a nerdier voice.

Sort of like Vla Kilmer in The Saint, or more like Brendan Fraser, in general?

Whew. You got the better of the two english Lina's.

If you said 'Lisa Ortz' we could no longer be friends.

Fraser *would* work. A little higher-pitched (as Jirris is reed thin and not quite capable of producing a deep tone, I would imagine), but that sounds so right to me for some reason.

Will Friedle does both Terry McGinnis from Batman Beyond... and Ron Stoppable from Kim Possible

Maurice LaMarche, who voiced Brain in Pinky and the Brain -- and Orson Wells in Ed Wood.

I somehow gravitate towards Annie Lennox.

When not gravitating towards enormously stuffed dragons.

Hm. As far as fictional characters go, my alt character sounds a lot like the hero of Trainspotting, or possibly Dave Lister from Red Dwarf. Paka himself is more of a Sean Bean type really.

As you know, that choice has already been made for some of my personae. But for the golden one... Hmm. Jim Cummings, halfway between Bonkers Bobcat and Darkwing Duck. Processed so as to have that ringing metallic resonance I'm supposed to have.

Also, more cookies to you.
