Elf Only Inn is a web comic about an online RP chatroom run by an arrogant twit and frequented by a crew of misfits who'll play anything but the fantasy characters the channel op demands. I found it pretty damned funny -- but I'm an old-time veteran of IRC #afd in its heyday.

Those of you who've never frequented IRC and other chats might not appreciate it as much. It's hard to tell how much of TEH FUNNY was of the You Had To Have Been There variety.

For those of us who have -- it's like coming home.
And remembering why you moved out...

Ack!

That comic is created by Josh Sortelli of the "We hate IMC" page. The man is an unpleasant louse who got banned from our chatsite, and proceeded to spew angry venom from every orifice on home site. The defunct "We hate IMC" site included such charming features as essays describing each and every one of my friends (who'd put the site up through their own sweat, and volunteered considerable amounts of time to maintain it) as Nazis without lives. This sentiment included your truly, whom he once featured prominently on a "dumb quotes" page because I told the staff of a chat room that was being closed down that we should keep things civil.

Though, his comic is funny.

So that's okay, then.

   I'm reminded of why I'm glad I never got into IRC. But then I don't have to go to IRC for that sort of thing... Just go to the WCoTP anytime after sunset (U.S. time) and you'll find it there too.
   Also... I hate to say it, but I can't say I find the comic terribly funny... Not even as satire.
