Honestly. We're so careful about copyright already - how much can they take before the well runs dry?

From what I've seen ~ some teachers will happily photocopy an entire book regardless of cost because they aren't the ones paying for it......
My Sister buys books with an eye to photocopiability (and of course permission to copy....these books are meant to be source materials)

My principal would murder me if i tried that.

Though we regularly share resources that are meant to be photocopied by one teacher only, we did purchase them to begin with. It is legal to copy parts of a book for education purposes. It is legal to burn disks with extra copies of programs for which the school board has paid (a bloody fortune for the) copyright fees. This law, as I understand it, would change our entire CANcopy license to make those things illegal. We can barely pay for what we need now. Their profits are our unfixed roofs, ancient technology, and lack of textbooks. We can't afford this.
