The Reason for the Season

It's now the 25th on the East Coast, and time, I think, for a moment of quiet introspection.

In this time of joy and celebration, in this frenzy of feasting and gift-giving, let us remember, always, who was born on this day, and the words he spoke, those words that still ring true after all these long years.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man.
It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity.
It is the middle ground between light and shadow,
between science and superstition,
and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge.
This is the dimension of imagination.
It is an area which we call... the Twilight Zone.

Was He born on this day too?....

Happy Christmas and a joyous new year to you all.

Did Santa bring you any Twilight Zone DVDs?

Merry Christmas to you and yours - and thanks for the card. :) Elizabeth did, indeed, appreciate the dragon. :)

Oh little town of Binghamton, where Rod Serling was born
Your factories gone, your river brown, you have grown forlorn
But from your holy high school, found at Front and Main,
Creator of the Twilight Zone into his teen years came.

I found out the other day that Cab Calloway also claims this as a birthday. Cool.

Cool. I'm so upgrading from Newton to Serling
