Proposition 8

toob just got married a few months ago, making him and his husband among the people that Proposition 8 most directly impacts.

I have nothing to say that he hasn't just said more clearly and truly:

Listen to what I am saying: they won nothing. All they did was briefly, temporarily revert California to the state it was in at the beginning of the year. But they are standing there with their thumb in the dike (Ha!) and new leaks are springing all around them.

They haven't lost -- but they are losing.

No matter which way that vote went, I knew it wouldn't be over.

If 8 had been defeated, its proponents would have thrown aside their "will of the people" malarkey and tried again.

Now that it's passed, well, amendments have been repealed before.

Yes, they have been repealed, but it seems to be much harder to get one removed, than to get one added..

Ah well, the fight goes on.

Also, they haven't counted absentee yet. That's me, for one.
