Rock Anthems!
Grabbed the following from
phallavixen:
Name up to five songs that you cannot help but sing along to.
This one's actually kind of easy for me:
kolchis and I used to discuss "rock anthems", which we defined as "those songs which, when you hear them on the radio, you have to pull over, put your hand over your heart, and sing along." Our list included:
Blue Öyster Cult: (Don't Fear) The Reaper
Queen: Bohemian Rhapsody ("Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me... for me... for meeeeeee...")
The Eagles: Hotel California
Meat Loaf: Bat Out Of Hell
Rush: Cygnus X-1 (Okay, that one's just me.)
Note that these aren't necessarily my favorite songs. They're just the ones I have to sing along with.

Blues Traveler: Hook
Sakura Taisen: Geki! Teikoku Kagekidan (I swear!)
Wham: Wake Me Up (*grumblemutter* shut up...)
Bon Jovi: Livin' on a Prayer
Ini Kamoze: Here Comes the Hotstepper
I'm sure there are more, but at the risk of making myself into MORE of a freak, well...

The Eagles: Hotel California
Bon Jovi: Bed of Roses (and several others)
Melissa Etheridge: I'm the Only One (and several others)
Alanis Morissette: You Oughta Know
Chris Isaac: Wicked Game
I tend to sing along with a lot of stuff from the 80s, but then I was a teen in the late 80s/early 90s so I guess it's to be expected. :)
And you know I'll sing along with Bohemian Rhapsody, after all we did re-enact that scene from Wayne's World once. *grin*
Oh my.

Buy this album if you can.
This song is all too appropriate in this mad distorted reflection of an era that we're trapped in, where Wrong is Right, Left is Right and Everything's...
DOWNSIDE-UP (from Peter Gabriel's OVO)
I looked up at the tallest building
Felt it falling down
I could feel my balance shifting
Everything was moving around
These streets so fixed and solid
A shimmering haze
And everything that I relied on disappeared
Downside up, upside down
Take my weight from the ground
Falling deep in the sky
Slipping in the unknown
All the strangers look like family
All the family looks so strange
The only constant I am sure of
Is this accelerating rate of change
Downside up, upside down
Take my weight off the ground
Falling deep in the sky
Slipping in the unknown
I stand here
Watch you spinning
Until I am drawn in
A centripetal force
You pull me in
Pull me in
Pull me in
Pull me in
Pull me in
Pull me in
ovo ovo ovo
ovo ovo ovo
ovo ovo ovo
ovo ovo ovo
ovo ovo ovo
ovo ovo ovo
Downside up
Upside down
Take my weight off the ground
Falling deep in the sky
Slipping into the unknown
