March for No Reason

No further comment needed.

Epitaph
including March for No Reason
and Tomorrow and Tomorrow

The wall on which the prophets wrote
Is cracking at the seams.
Upon the instruments of death
The sunlight brightly gleams.
When every man is torn apart
With nightmares and with dreams,
Will no one lay the laurel wreath
As silence drowns the screams

Confusion will be my epitaph.
As I crawl a cracked and broken path
If we make it we can all sit back and laugh.
But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying
Yes I fear tomorrow I'll be crying.

Between the iron gates of fate,
The seeds of time were sown,
And watered by the deeds of those
Who know and who are known;
Knowledge is a deadly friend
When no one sets the rules.
The fate of all mankind I see
Is in the hands of fools

Confusion will be my epitaph.
As I crawl a cracked and broken path
If we make it we can all sit back and laugh.
But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying
Yes I fear tomorrow I'll be crying.

It's yet another TEOTWAWKI moment. These seem to be coming with increasing frequency these days. This one in particular brings to mind a poem...

SOME say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

--Robert Frost, 1920

So is this fire, or is this ice? Is it a little of both?

Yes, well... I wish I hadn't felt the need to quote it.

Hmm, nice song and it's implied tone really fits with the current events
