Sheldon and Penny are from CBS's current sitcom, "The Big Bang Theory". OK-ish comedy about a bunch of Cal Tech professors/nerds/comic fans/genre fans who have wacky adventures. The comic book references and the well-researched gags about actual current science theory and thinking is fun.

Example. When the boys find a genuine, limited issue One Ring prop, they start fighting over it predictably. Sheldon spends half the episode in a Red Lantern logo shirt. Worn without comment, of course. :)
